The historic center of the city of eternal spring is home to countless attractions. The main square, or “Plaza de Armas” is adorned with the monument to Liberty, an imposing marble sculpture, and Trujillo’s cathedral, which houses major examples of viceroyalty period art.
The churches, particularly Santo Domingo, and the Historical Monument of the city, are unmissable attractions, as are the neoclassical and baroque style mansion houses. Any tour should also include the Toy Museum.
Trujillo is much more than eternal spring weather. It is never-ending history.
