By means of Ministerial Resolution No.000224-2022-DM/MC and according to the report of the Machu Picchu National Archaeological Park Headquarters, a temporary and exceptional increase of up to one thousand (1000) visitors to the Llaqta or Inca City of Machu Picchu - a total of 4044 visitors per day - was approved until December 31, 2022.

On the other hand, according to the communication issued by the Management Unit of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and in compliance with Ministerial Resolution No. 000224-2022-DM/MC, the following is communicated:

- The spaces corresponding to the increase will be duly enabled for sale on Monday, July 18, starting at 10:00 am.
- The tickets can be purchased only on the official website www.machupicchu.gob.pe or at the offices of the Ministry of Culture in the city of Cusco (Calle Maruri 340 and Calle Garcilaso S/N) and/or through the extranet of the agencies and tour operators.
- No additional tickets will be issued for admission to the Machu Picchu's Llaqta, beyond what is established in the aforementioned resolution.

The Management Unit of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu urges all agencies, operators and the general public to purchase their tickets well in advance and through official channels.
