In the category of the most popular experiences worldwide, the Inca Trail in Cusco stands out as one of the top-ranked by tourists.

Furthermore, alongside this recognition, the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was included in the list of the American magazine Travel + Leisure as one of the 8 best backpacking trips in the world.
The publication highlights this route as a unique hike where individuals trace the path of a great lost civilization. Moreover, it emphasizes all the places that can be observed during the days of the journey.
About the Inca Trail
Also known as the Qhapaq Ñan, it is a series of roads that connected the entire Tahuantinsuyo and that currently is one of the most visited destinations by travelers from around the world who seek to reach Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the modern world.
This trekking route, which takes 4 days to complete, starts at kilometer 82 of the railway. Here, travelers behold the magnificence bestowed by the Peruvian Andes, including the snow-capped Ausangate and the Pacaymayo River valley, in addition to the varied ecological levels and dazzling archaeological sites, among which Puyupatamarka, Wiñaywayna, and Intipunku stand out, all constructed during the Inca Empire.
