Three Peruvian restaurants entered the prestigious list of the 50 best in the world, published by The World's 50 Best Restaurants: Mayta (41), Kjolle (16) and Maido (05), whose chef, Mitsuharu “Micha” Tsumura, received the Damm Chefs Choice Awards 2024. This is one of the most important worldwide culinary awards, again highlighting the country's gastronomic richness.

Each of these places offers a unique proposal and reflects the creativity of their chefs, which has been confirmed by visitors from different countries around the world. Such is the impact of Peru's culinary culture that in the list of the 100 best restaurants of the same contest, Merito (55) and Mil (73) were chosen.

In addition, Peru has been awarded multiple times as “Best Gastronomic Destination” at the World Travel Awards, known as the “Oscars of Tourism”.

Visiting this South American country is a unique experience for the palate and the senses, which was also confirmed at the last World Travel Awards, the "Oscars of Tourism", where Peru received the award for "Best Gastronomic Destination". This is a trip that you must do!

Central in the Hall of Fame

The Central restaurant, located in the capital of Peru, Lima, also received important recognition after receiving the award for "Best Restaurant in the World" in the 2023 edition of The World's 50 Best Restaurants. On this occasion, the space directed by chefs Virgilio Martínez and Pía León, managed to enter the Hall of Fame of the international contest.
