Visit the communities of the Sacred Valley

The rural communities of the Sacred Valley are home to Cusco’s living culture. If you’d like to be part of this living culture, the villagers of the valley are ready to share their labors with you and allow you to experience for yourself their daily lives. 

In Pumahuanca, for example, you can harvest the enormous Urubamba corn variety from Inca terraces; in Maras you can collect salt the way they did thousands of years ago; and in Chincheros you can weave on Inca looms using ancestral techniques recovered by the renowned local weaver Nilda Callañaupa.

In some villages you can even spend the night!
