Now you have one more reason to visit and travel throughout Peru: the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler magazine, specialized in luxury tourism and lifestyle, included the South American country in its Gold List of favorite destinations, highlighting the Peruvian Andes and classifying it as one of the best tourist destinations in the world in 2021.
In the note, they describe the places, spaces, and ways to get to these fantastic places, in which Peru stands out, by being the only country in Latin America that appears in this prestigious list. In total, there were 8 outstanding locations in 2021. Were they chosen by an internet vote? No, for this occasion, the places were selected by the editors of the international magazine, where rest the variety and quality of experiences that they considered exceptional.
The dazzling landscapes surrounded by nature of the Peruvian Andes were the ones that received the most attention. But it was not the only highlight of the Peruvian lands. In addition to the fabulous scenarios - where they adorned the note with a beautiful photo of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu-, they mentioned the extensive and rich culture of the South American country, the nobility and hospitality of its people (who are very friendly and cooperative with tourists) and, of course, the delicious Peruvian gastronomy.

Cusco, the ideal destination
Condé Nast Traveler also recommended spending the holidays in Cusco. In its note titled Where to go for Christmas: 25 places to spend Christmas, from a romantic getaway to family trips and solo excursions. In that publication, he invited travelers from all over the world not to leave Cusco without having visited through the Sacred Valley or without visiting Machu Picchu.
