Peru, renowned for its culinary excellence, has captured the attention of a high-level international audience by participating in one of the world's most prestigious gastronomic events: the New York Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF). Through this participation, Peruvian cuisine has reaffirmed its position on the world stage, showcasing the best of our cuisine and our most emblematic destinations.
In the current year, Peru's participation in the NYCWFF, held from October 13th to 15th, succeeded in securing new spaces in the competitive U.S. market for native products like quinoa, asparagus, chili peppers, and Pisco, among others. Furthermore, seven Peruvian restaurants had a special place during the Signature Pier Parties at the Intrepid Museum, reinforcing Peruvian cuisine's presence at the event.
This accomplishment came after Peru secured the title of the world's best culinary destination for the tenth time in 2022 at the World Travel Awards and achieved the top position among the 50 Best Restaurants in the World with Central. This further solidified its position as an emerging global culinary epicenter.

Consequently, numerous travelers from across the globe visit Peru, not solely to uncover its diverse archaeological and natural marvels like the Machupicchu Historical Sanctuary, Saqsaywaman Archaeological Park, or the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve but also to indulge in the flavors of dishes such as ají de gallina, carapulcra, rocoto relleno, and more.
Through this participation, Peru heightened the awareness of its cuisine on an international stage and consolidated its position as a top culinary hotspot, offering the perfect setting for an unforgettable experience.
